My breasts are growing – I have bought two new bras to accommodate the changes. It is so wonderful to have a cleavage again! After breastfeeding Rosie I went down two bra sizes. My nipples are bigger too, and darker and have little white bumps on them, which is apparently normal. These bumps are sebaceous glands, and produce oils to lubricate and keep the nipples supple. Can’t say I noticed them last time round. When I walk my fingers down my belly, I can now feel the hard ridge of the top of the uterus about halfway between my pubic bone and my belly button – it’s growing!
The fetus’ chest muscles are beginning to make movements similar to those that will be used when breathing in and out oxygen after birth. Finger and toenails are now fully developed.
