I took some measurements at the beginning of this week. My waist has expanded by 10.5” over the course of this pregnancy, and I have put on a total of 11Kgs. AJ took some photos of me with a big belly, to send to family and friends overseas – I think I look enormous!
I went to see the midwife again this week, to discuss the safety of some of the methods for turning a breech baby that I had researched last week. What a relief – baby is cephalic!! I have stopped the Knee-Chest exercises, as I don’t want to encourage him to turn around again, but will keep playing him music daily, to hopefully encourage him to stay where he is!
In most first pregnancies, but not all subsequent ones, the baby will now start to move his head lower down into the pelvic region. This is called ‘engaging’, or ‘lightening’ and is another step towards getting ready for birth.
